Black mosaic tiles bring depth, drama and a striking sense of luxury to any space. As the exclusive Australian distributor of Ezarri, Europe Imports supplies premium black glass mosaic pool tiles, from charcoal and graphite blends to true onyx blacks that shift with the light.
Every sheet is crafted in Spain to last a lifetime, and engineered to turn pools, spas and feature interiors into something unforgettable.
Australia's Most Extensive Black Mosaic Tile Collection
There is a reason designers reach for black when they want a space to feel considered, sophisticated and a touch dramatic. Across hundreds of tiny tesserae, light catches differently from tile to tile, giving a finish that reads as soft graphite in one moment and deep onyx the next, depending on the angle, the lighting and the surrounding palette.
Our black Ezarri mosaic collection spans that whole range: bespoke Australian Designer blends of charcoal and metallic, matte stone-inspired blacks, and dark reflective pool blends that keep the famous Ezarri shimmer. The result is a gloss-rich surface with a depth and contrast that a single large-format tile can never match, whether the project sits indoors or beside the pool.
Explore the Black Ezarri Ranges
Within the Ezarri catalogue, black appears across several signature collections:
- Black Russian, part of the Australian Designer collection, is a bespoke blend of charcoal, near-black and metallic tones, designed locally and made in Spain for pools and feature interiors.
- Zen Black Marble is a matte, marbled mosaic that reads as a deep, organic black, ideal for spas, wellness spaces and stone-inspired cladding.
- Niebla offers deep blends for a true black-bottom pool, delivering dark, reflective water while keeping the Ezarri shimmer, trusted by Australian pool builders.
- Space Capricorn (unsure)
Each option is available in 25mm formats or larger 50mm tessera, with matching Corner and Cove pieces for seamless waterline detail and Safe Step variants for steps and shallow zones.
Engineered in Spain, Installed in Australian Pools
Every black Ezarri sheet is manufactured from 100% recycled glass and backed by Ezarri's JointPoint mounting system, the same system relied on for high-end pool projects worldwide. JointPoint is a dot-mounted panel that leaves 92% of the mosaic back free for adhesive and, according to Ezarri's published data, installs roughly 25% faster than paper or mesh-mounted alternatives. Because darker colours are where lower-quality glass shows streaks and fading first, that flatter, full-bed bond and Ezarri's 25-year colour fade guarantee matter even more in black.
Where Black Mosaic Tiles Shine
Beyond swimming pools, black Ezarri mosaics are a striking choice for spas, water features, bathrooms, ensuites, kitchen splashbacks, bar fronts and commercial fit-outs. In a pool or spa they create the sought-after mirror-like black-bottom effect, picking up the sky and surroundings, while their non-porous glass surface resists staining, mould and chemical wear. That translates to less maintenance and noticeably softer water in fully tiled pools.
Inside the home, black mosaics make a moody focal point behind a freestanding bath, frame a splashback against timber, stone and brass, or add refined contrast to showers, vanities and powder rooms. Because JointPoint lets the sheets flex around curves and tight radiuses, black also suits stair risers, niches, fountains, ponds and curved architectural detailing where mesh-backed ceramic simply cannot follow the line.
Why Customers Choose Europe Imports
Based in Kings Park, our team works directly with homeowners, architects, interior designers, pool builders, custom home builders and tile retailers to specify the right black for every project. Give us a call on 1300 EUROPE to order up to five free samples online, book a Kings Park showroom appointment to compare tones in person, or use our interactive Pool Visualiser to see your chosen black rendered in a finished pool before you commit.
A fully black mosaic interior produces deep, mirror-like water that picks up the sky and surroundings. Black blended with charcoals and bronzes, as seen in Black Russian, gives a richer, more textured reflection. For a darker emerald or graphite look, our team can blend black with deep greens or bottle-blues to suit your landscape.
Yes. Ezarri's glass tessera is non-porous and chemically inert, making it suitable for chlorinated, saltwater, magnesium mineral and ozone-treated systems when correctly specified and installed. Calcium or salt residue can show a little more against dark glass than lighter colours, but because the surface is non-porous it sits on top and wipes away with a soft cloth and a mild pH-neutral cleaner. Keeping water chemistry balanced keeps the finish looking new.
Most popular black blends are held in stock at our Kings Park warehouse and can be dispatched within a few business days of order confirmation. Custom blends, larger volumes and specialist trim pieces are made to order in Spain, typically arriving in 10 to 14 weeks. For tight project deadlines, contact our team to confirm current availability before specifying.
A standard Ezarri sheet measures 313 x 495mm. Box coverage varies by tile size and collection, and full coverage data is listed on every product's technical sheet. If you need help converting sheet counts into total square metres for your pool surface, our team can run the numbers for you. As a rule of thumb, we recommend ordering an additional 10% to allow for cuts, wastage, and any future repairs from the same production batch to avoid colour shift.
We post up to five sample sheets free of charge to anywhere in Australia, so you can compare black tones against your render, decking, tapware and surrounding stonework under natural light. You are also welcome to visit our Kings Park showroom by appointment to view full sheets, completed pool boards, and project case studies. We always recommend viewing black mosaics next to your other finishes before signing off a final selection.
Europe Imports is a specialist supplier rather than an installation contractor. However, we work hand-in-hand with a national network of Ezarri-trained tilers and pool builders, and we are happy to recommend experienced installers in your area. Our technical team can also support your tradespeople through specification, ordering, and any on-site queries.
Yes, black tiles absorb more solar radiation than lighter colours, which can lift the surface temperature of pool water by roughly 1 to 2 degrees Celsius in full sun. The effect is most noticeable in shallow pools or where the tile sits in direct sun for most of the day. For most Australian backyards this is a welcome bonus. If you are in a hot-climate region or building a small plunge pool, our team can talk you through shading, circulation and depth considerations.
For a seamless, monolithic look, most designers choose a charcoal or black epoxy grout. A mid-grey grout will highlight the individual tesserae and emphasise pattern, while a contrasting cream or stone grout creates a graphic, terrazzo-style finish. Epoxy is generally recommended over cement for pool environments and for any wet area where regular cleaning and staining are a concern.
Calcium and salt residue can be more visible on dark glass than on lighter colours, simply because of the contrast. Ezarri's non-porous surface does not allow chemicals to penetrate, so any deposits sit on the surface and wipe away with a soft cloth and a mild pH-neutral cleaner. Keeping water chemistry balanced and using a high-quality sealer on grout lines will keep the finish looking new.
