Our Colour Range
Grey Natural Stone
Versatile grey natural stone ranging from soft dove to deep charcoal — a sophisticated, architectural palette for floors, walls, and outdoor paving.

Grey is the defining colour of contemporary Australian architecture, and grey natural stone gives it depth that manufactured surfaces struggle to match.
Europe Imports supplies grey stone across limestone, dolomite, travertine and quartzite, from soft warm greiges to cool silver greys, in pavers, tiles, steppers, cobbles and slabs, from Sydney to projects Australia-wide.

Choosing the Right Grey Stone
Decide warm or cool first. Put samples next to your render, window frames and joinery. A cool grey beside warm timber can look cold; a warm greige beside black steel can look muddy. The right temperature is the one that agrees with everything around it.
Decide how much movement you want. For large, open terraces where calm matters, a low movement stone such as Salem Grey keeps the surface quiet. For feature areas, a stone with veining such as Nimbus Dolomite adds interest.
Consider heat. Mid greys run warmer in direct sun than pale beiges. For large barefoot areas, lighter greys are the more comfortable choice.
Specify finish and sealing together. The face finish changes both the colour and the slip rating. Confirm the rating for the exact product from the data sheet in our technical information area. Grey stone is porous, and we supply stone sealers, including Chemforce Stain Protector.
Where Grey Stone Shines
Grey stone suits contemporary pool surrounds, where it frames the water with a clean, architectural edge, and it carries naturally into alfresco areas, courtyards and entries. Indoors, grey limestone floors and grey slabs suit modern kitchens, bathrooms and living areas. Pair a grey surround with a mosaic from the Ezarri range and preview the combination in our Pool Visualiser. Our project gallery shows grey schemes in finished work.

Textured grey limestones such as Salem Grey, Aria and Argento Violetta are popular choices, offering a calm, contemporary surface with sandblasted or sandbrushed finishes for outdoor use. Confirm the slip rating for the specific product, and specify a sealer suited to pool water and sanitiser.
Warm greys and greiges carry beige or taupe undertones and suit timber and warm render. Cool greys lean silver or blue and suit crisp schemes with white render, black steel and glass. Viewing samples beside your other materials is the best way to decide.
Mid and darker greys absorb more heat in direct sun than pale beiges. For large barefoot areas around pools, lighter greys are generally more comfortable, while darker greys suit shaded areas and walls.
As a general design guide, a grey surround with a grey or charcoal interior creates a deeper, more reflective water colour, while grey paving around a white or pale blue interior gives bright, crisp contrast. Preview combinations in the Pool Visualiser and with physical samples.
Salem Grey is chosen specifically for its low movement and consistent surface character, which makes it well suited to large terraces and pool surrounds where a calm, even look is wanted.
Yes. Europe Imports supplies grey slabs including Tundra Medium limestone, Titanium Silver Travertine and Bianco Superiore quartzite. Quartzite is the most durable choice for busy kitchens.
Yes. Natural stone is porous, so a sealing specification is part of the installation, particularly outdoors and around pools. We supply Chemforce Stain Protector and can advise on the right approach for your stone.
Several of our grey limestones, including Salem Grey, Earth, Element and Arona, list stairs among their applications. Confirm the slip rating for the specific product and finish, and match the treads to the surrounding paving from the same batch.
