Explore Our Grey Porcelain Range
Each is 60 x 60cm, supplied as a 2cm outdoor paver and a 0.95cm interior tile:
- Nuage Grigio, the grey member of the Nuage range, a soft, cloud inspired porcelain drawn from French stones.
- Shale Grey, a subtle grey with a natural design on a light neutral base, the most understated option.
- Silver Travertine, a realistic recreation of silver travertine, in silver with faint cream tones.
- Rocky Grigio, from the textured Rocky range, carries a grey name but the site tags its colour as brown and cream. It reads as a darker, warmer tone than the other greys here, so view a sample before choosing it for a grey scheme.

How to Specify Grey Porcelain
Choose the grey against the house, not the showroom. Grey shifts with light and surroundings. A grey that looks neutral indoors can look blue under a clear sky or green beside lawn. Take samples home and lay them next to your cladding, window frames and pool tile at different times of day.
Specify the 2cm body for every exterior zone. Pool surrounds, terraces, courtyards and paths should use the 2cm paver. If the floor continues inside, the 0.95cm tile in the same colour carries it through, with the level change resolved at the threshold by your builder.
Get the slip rating right for water. Grey porcelain around a pool faces constant wetting. Slip ratings are assigned per product and finish under the Australian classification, so confirm the figure for your chosen product from the technical data sheet, found in our technical information area, and match it to the location. Good falls and strip drains help water clear the surface.
Think about surface heat. Darker surfaces absorb more sun. Shale Grey, with its light neutral base, and the silver tones of Silver Travertine sit at the paler end of our greys. Our guide to natural stone notes that travertine stays noticeably cooler than concrete or porcelain on a hot day, so if barefoot comfort is the priority, compare with a grey stone such as Aria Limestone or Salem Grey.
Keep the scheme tonal. Grey porcelain paving pairs cleanly with stone accents in the same family. Sahara Cladding is available in grigio tones for a feature wall, and grey cobbles can edge a garden bed.
Nuage Grigio, Shale Grey and Silver Travertine are Europe Imports' grey and silver porcelains, and all are supplied in a 2cm thickness for outdoor use, 60 x 60cm. Landscape and pool are listed applications for each. Confirm the slip rating for your chosen product from the technical data sheet.
Our outdoor porcelain is 2cm thick, which is the thickness to specify for pool surrounds, terraces and courtyards. The 0.95cm version of the same product is intended for interior floors. Your landscaper or builder confirms the base and installation method.
No. Porcelain has very low water absorption and low porosity, so it does not need sealing and resists staining from food, oils and pool chemicals. Grey natural stones such as limestone do need a sealing specification.
Darker surfaces absorb more heat than lighter ones, so pale greys such as Shale Grey will generally stay cooler than a deep charcoal would. Natural travertine stays noticeably cooler than porcelain on a hot day, so consider it for fully exposed barefoot areas.
Grey porcelain pairs well with blue and deep blue pool interiors, which read richer against a cool surround, and with stone look glass mosaics such as the Ezarri Zen range. Use our pool design tool and physical samples to test the combination.
Silver Travertine is a porcelain that recreates the look of silver travertine in a dense, very low absorption body that needs no sealing and is consistent in size. Real travertine is quarried, porous, varies naturally and needs sealing, but stays cooler underfoot.
Yes. Every grey porcelain we supply comes in a 0.95cm tile for interior floors, in the same 60 x 60cm size and colour as the 2cm outdoor paver. That makes a continuous grey floor from kitchen to terrace straightforward to specify.
